It occupies less space
in the shed. If you put one after another, in a square meter you would
get 25 UNIVERSAL DRINKERS and if we do the same with the bell type
drinker, you could only fit in 9 units. Bird per bird, the bell type
drinker occupies more space in the shed.
The cleaning of the UNIVERSAL DRINKER is far easier and takes far less time than the bell type. And the wasted water, as a result of the cleaning, is far less than the bell type. The water comes into the bowl of the UNIVERSAL DRINKER through orifices located in bottom of the central tube, minimizing contamination. In the bell type the water drains into the hoop from the top of the bell, allowing for dust and dirt from the shed to contaminate it.
The ballast in the drinker type bell is generally a deposit of water that is in the internal inferior part of the bell, which remains there and goes stale, and this deposit prevents proper cleaning. The ballast that is part of the UNIVERSAL drinker is a metallic rod that is protected and permanently sealed in a PVC tube, so preventing contamination of the water.
Cleaning the UNIVERSAL DRINKER is much more simple, less expensive, and simply better.
